How to Win at Farmville

by Aaron Auaua CEO | February 15, 2010 | In Gaming, HowTo

FarmVille is a game that you can play any time. Of course, even with a game as easy to learn as FarmVille, it never hurts to have an edge. Check out some of these tips to see what it takes to become a master farmer!

Instead of purchasing animals and trees from the Marketplace, add some Neighbors. Neighbors can send these items as Gifts to you, for free. Don’t forget to return the favor by sending one back to them.
Animals are more than just cute; when your animals’ counter reaches 100%, you can collect milk, eggs, wool, and other items that you can sell for coins.

Start building! Buildings not only look great on your farm but constructing them can provide you with a hefty amount of Experience.
Feeling cramped? If you need more room to grow, expand your farm. Additional land can be purchased from the Marketplace for Coins or Farm Cash. Remember, in order to expand your land, you must have enough neighbors. Check out the Marketplace to review how many Neighbors you need to gain additional land.
Are you getting tired from all that clicking? Vehicles can be purchased from the Marketplace to assist with your farming needs. FarmVille features a Tractor, Harvester and Seeder that can be used to plow, plant and harvest your farm in no time!
Harvest your trees to gain additional coins. When your trees’ counter reaches 100%, you can collect various types of fruit that can be sold for coins. Fruit does not rot, so no need to worry about them withering.
Complete achievements! FarmVille features numerous Achievements that can be obtained by completing various tasks within the game. In addition to a Ribbon to show off to your friends, you can also gain Experience points, Decorations for your farm and Coins.

Maximize space! Utilize the space on your farm efficiently by keeping your plots organized. This will increase your Experience and profit.
Plant crops that fit your schedule. FarmVille features crops that are ready to harvest at varying times. Make sure to plant crops that ripen when you are available. Doing so will ensure that your crops are less likely to wither.
Make sure to visit your neighbors. Assisting neighbors with daily chores like raking leaves, chasing away crows, or pulling weeds will provide you with valuable Experience points and Coins.

Want to talk to your neighbors? Leave them a sign post. Sign Posts can be used to send messages to, and receive messages from your friends. To place a Sign Post, simply click the button next to the name of your farm and write your note.
Play conservatively. When starting FarmVille for the first time, make sure to save your coins. Plant and Plow in moderation for the first few levels. Gradually add more plots of land once you are more familiar with the game and its mechanics. If you add too many plots of land too soon, you may not have enough money to buy crops!
Running low on Coins? Log onto FarmVille once a day to win some extra coins from the Daily Lottery.

Hopefully, you’ll find these tips useful. If you need more help, or are looking for additional information, come hang out with the FarmVille Community forums.

Happy Farming!

  3. Do people still play farmville? I mean in all honesty with you I’m very surprised that farmville has lasted this long anyway. I admit that I did play it for a bit when it first came out but since then I just can’t fathom even trying it. Although I certainly know some people who are Exceptionally addicted to it…
